We're home. After a holiday that involved a fire, two major pipe leaks and a shower that gives you an electric shock when you touch the taps (yes, that would be ME that touched those taps), I can tell you we are safely home now. Not that any of the before mentioned were a big deal. But they make a wonderful entry to a New Year post. Besides, it also illustrates what an interesting time was had by all.
Thing 1 is happy to be back, too. He is now 7. The funny thing about him being the second youngest in his class (and taller than most of 'em) is that by the time his birthday rolls around it always seems like wait, I thought you were already. . .
So he is 7. Few months from now we'll probably think he is eight. This may explain why the bike we bought him is so big. Not much smaller than mine. Or it means he is getting big.
7.
Right.

Getting shocked by taps sounds weird...and dangerous. Happy new year!
